Runner from Cork raises nearly €5k for Parkinson’s Ireland

Runner and Corkman, Keelin Skillington has raised nearly €5k for Parkinson’s Ireland by running a solo marathon in Glanmire.

Keelin has a particular interest in Parkinson’s as his grandfather lives with the condition. He completed his marathon in 3 hours 30 mins, shattering his 4 hour target. Keelin got air time on Cork’s 96FM and Corks RedFM and was on the front page of Glanmire’s local newspaper. As part of his fundraising effort, he got himself promoted on numerous Facebook groups and was delighted with the amount raised, which included donations from over 200 people.
