The Rebel Express is on the road again!

Following the very successful ‘Patient’s Deserve Better’ campaign meeting with TDs and Senators on June 15th, CPA will join forces with the local Dublin branch and hold a separate meeting with TDs and Senators in the AV room on July 6th to talk about living with Parkinson’s and the serious lack of support, services and community care for PWPs.

Michael Collins, Cork South-West TD will host the meeting. Tony will be joined on the panel of speakers by Richelle Flanagan and Gary Boyle, all are respected PWP advocates who will bring their expertise and experience of Parkinson’s to the room. In addition to raising the profile of Parkinson’s, TDs will be asked to work with the HSE budget managers in their regional area divisions to ensure that the 20 nurses promised in the next budget are recruited and distributed appropriately throughout the country. Cork needs 6 Parkinson’s nurses for the county.

Many of you will remember the last time the Rebel Express left town was in April 2018 and we put on a great show outside Leinster House.
