About us

Cork Parkinson’s Association is a dynamic and forward looking organisation representing people living with Parkinson’s in county Cork. We are the Cork branch of Parkinson’s Association Ireland (PAI).

Our ultimate ambition is to drive better care, treatments and quality of life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s by developing a network of local support groups and campaigning for community-based Parkinson’s nurses.

We are Rebels with a cause and because we are here, no one has to face Parkinson’s alone. It is important to join your local Parkinson’s branch as you learn so much more and as a team we can achieve more.

About this website

The Cork Parkinson’s Association website is for the benefit of People with Parkinson’s, their Family and friends throughout county Cork.

Our CPA members have been asking for a long time for a portal where they could easily access information relevant to their local groups.

The intention is not to cover information which can be found elsewhere such as explaining the symptoms of Parkinson’s or various treatments.

This resource is needed now more than ever during the COVID 19 pandemic as it is vital to show what is happening locally, what support is available and a focal point for those who would like a bit of help.

Accessibility

We have done our best to make this website easy to use for people with Parkinson’s. For more information, visit our Accessibility page.
